Common Causes & Cures of Daily Aches and Pains

The best ways to naturally relieve muscle pain and stiffness

A Q&A with Mishel Elkayam, CEO of Blumenes

Q

What may be causing my muscle and joint pain?

A

MUSCLE AND JOINT PAIN

The pain you feel may be coming from something as simple as your daily habits, or as serious as an underlying condition like arthritis.

OVERUSE, STRAIN, & BUILT UP TENSION

One likely cause of your discomfort is overuse, strain, or built up tension. Whether that is soreness you feel from working out, or tension left behind after a long day at work, your muscle and joint discomfort may need an effective soothing topical. Blumenes relief creams are made with a collection of natural anti-inflammatory ingredients such as organic hemp, arnica, turmeric, witch hazel, dragon’s blood, and more.

ARTHRITIS

Many of our customers also come to us in search of relief for their arthritis:

One client of ours, Mike, wrote on our Full Spectrum Relief Cream. “This product has been life changing for my family”, he said. “My wife deals with daily pain from arthritis and this made her feel a million times better.”

STRESS & ANXIETY

Lastly, and perhaps most commonly, the muscle and joint discomfort you experience may be a result of psychological stress and anxiety, manifesting itself into physical pain.

At Blumenes, we are incredibly cognisant of the detrimental impacts poor mental health can have on your health and wellness as a whole.

It is our mission and passion, to formulate a solution of relief for our families and for our customers, to live free of the aches and pains that weigh heavily on their minds.

If you're experiencing persistent or severe muscle and joint pain, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment. They can conduct a thorough evaluation, including medical history, physical examination, and possibly diagnostic tests, to determine the underlying cause and develop an appropriate management plan.

Q

How do Blumenes relief creams work to relieve my muscle and joint pain?

A

We offer two products for relief at Blumenes. Both products are made with organic, vegan ingredients, including Turmeric, Arnica, Coconut Oil, Manuka Oil, Dragon's Blood, Witch Hazel (& more). These ingredients work together to produce analgesic (pain-relieving) effects.

The difference between the two creams lies within their distinctive active ingredients.

Our Ultra-Hydrating Organic Hemp Relief Cream will act as an intense moisturizer and soothing anti-inflammatory agent. Hemp seed oil is also rich in fatty acids, including omega-3 and omega-6, which are essential for maintaining skin hydration. These fatty acids help to nourish and moisturize the skin, making it smoother and more supple.

Our Full-Spectrum CBD Relief Cream will work with maximum-strength to relieve muscle and joint discomfort deep beneath your skin's surface. CBD not only has amazing natural anti-inflammatory properties, but it actually interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in regulating your perception of pain. By influencing the activity of cannabinoid receptors in the ECS, CBD may interfere with your body’s pain signals and provide relief.

Both products are safe to use as often as you'd like. We recommend applying a dime-sized amount to any areas of soreness or discomfort: your hands, neck, shoulders, back, joints, knees, elbows, etc., before and after your workouts.

Q

What exercises can I implement to relieve built up tension?

A

Here are a few of my favorite tension-relieving exercises for your neck, shoulders, and back. Practice these on your car-ride to work, in the shower, or before your next workout.

  1. Neck Rolls: Sit or stand tall with your shoulders relaxed. Slowly lower your chin towards your chest and gently roll your head to one side, bringing your ear towards your shoulder. Hold for a few seconds, then roll your head back to the center and repeat on the other side. Perform several repetitions in each direction.
  2. Scalene Stretch: Sit or stand tall with your shoulders relaxed. Reach one arm behind your back and grasp the bottom of your chair or the opposite side of your head. Gently tilt your head towards the opposite shoulder and slightly rotate it towards the sky until you feel a stretch along the front of your neck. Hold for 15-30 seconds, then switch arms and repeat on the other side.
  3. Chin Tucks: Sit or stand tall with your shoulders relaxed. Gently tuck your chin towards your chest, lengthening the back of your neck. Hold for a few seconds, then return to the starting position. Repeat several times.
